It is therefore not for complete beginners, who will require tuition, but those wanting some help. We are always happy to oblige and would love some more members.<br>So if in the past, you have enjoyed painting or drawing in any medium and want to take it up again or if you are currently painting or drawing and need a bit of help to learn more and improve, then please consider joining this very friendly group that share their love of art<br>More details from Iona Leith-MacGregor<br><a href=\"mailto:msiona.leith-macgregor@virgin.net\">msiona.leith-macgregor@virgin.net<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>T<\/strong><strong>able Tennis<br><\/strong><\/span>There are now two table tennis groups meeting on Wednesday afternoons from 2-4pm. Please contact the organisers to check dates or refer to the main Ash U3A website<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The venue is excellent providing a good table and net leaving only the cost of the hall hire. The number of members is restricted by the size of the current venue but if you think you might like to play please phone\/email the contact below before coming for the first time. It must be emphasised that this is a relaxed group who do this for fun.<br>We play the current scoring rules, i.e. game finishes at 11 points with service changing every 2 points. We do not study kings and emperors but the common people and their everyday lives.<br>Our meetings take various forms; members give short or long presentations, we watch DVDs with or without discussions afterwards, we have joint meetings with as many people as possible joining in and we have outings to places of historical interest.<br>Many of us share an interest in family history and local history so have knowledge of these to illustrate our talks.
